Join us for a PhD Proposal on Challenges and Treatment Outcomes Among Adolescents and Young Adults With Tuberculosis and With Tuberculosis/HIV Coinfection In Kenya by Dr. Clarice Ambale.

Dr. Ambale is a Pharmacoepidemiologist and Health System Strengthening Expert. She has over 15 years’ experience in hospital pharmacy practice and health system strengthening. Currently working at the Centre for Health Solutions -Kenya as a Health System strengthening Advisor supporting the HIV and TB projects. She is actively involved in developing and implementing a robust Health Systems Strengthening plans for transition by guiding the process of identifying key performance parameters with clear milestones through the life of the project to track the transition process towards sustainability. She has held a similar position at Amref health in Africa supporting the provision of medical oxygen to health facilities in the country. She previously worked with the county government of Machakos.

She has a Masters’ degree in Pharmacoepidemiology & Pharmacovigilance, and a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy both from the University of Nairobi.

Clarice is passionate about sustainability of healthcare and supporting the county governments to identify opportunities for resource mobilization and reduce donor dependency. Her goal is to see the integration of TB/HIV services as part of the chronic disease management and not as vertical programs.
