Department's Scientists Featured in USAID Article For Their Work in HIV Research

Members of the Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology and KAVI-Institute of Clinical Research Dr. Robert Robert Langat and PhD student Matrona Akiso were recently featured in an article by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as some of the scientists at the forefront of developing a HIV Vaccine.

In the article Dr. Langat, a Post Doctoral Fellow, spoke of his first hand experience on the effects of HIV in the Kenyan community. Matrona Akiso spoke of her experiences in high school, how she ended up working in clinical research and the support she has received from USAID in her career development.
