Towards the larger goal of the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), the ADVANCE (Accelerate the Development of Vaccines and New Technologies to Combat the AIDS Epidemic), a group of researchers led by Prof. Walter Jaoko (Director KAVI-ICR) and Dr. Marianne Mureithi (Chair, Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology) recorded a podcast series, the Impact Voices, in which they discussed their research and its significance in the context of global (with highlights from vaccine research). Senior scientists from KAVI-ICR, Drs. Daniel Muema and Terry Muhomah, also attended. They brought attention to the ongoing efforts in HIV/AIDS research and vaccine development.
