UoN Collaborative Centre for Research and Training Annual Meeting

For the past twenty-five years, an annual meeting in January in Nairobi brings together the various researchers, their students, government officials, donors and other stakeholders in Kenya to discuss their latest research results, ongoing projects and future plans.

Details for the 2024 Conference are as follows:

Venue: Nairobi Serena Hotel

The meeting will span five days, culminating in a retreat on January 27. The preliminary program and thematic sessions will be shared in January.

Prof. Julius Oyugi Ascends to Full Professorship at the University of Nairobi’s Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology

The University of Nairobi celebrates a new milestone in academic leadership and scientific research. Prof. Julius Oyugi is elevated to the distinguished rank of Full Professor at the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology. Prof. Oyugi, who also serves as the director of the University of Nairobi Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (UNITID), has been instrumental in propelling the institution to new heights in virology and infectious diseases.
