The Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology will be hosting a hybrid lecture on the Prevention and Management of Sexually Transmitted Diseases in Tropical Pediatrics and Maternal Health by Professor R. Scott McClelland from the University of Washington on the 11th of July 2023, from 9-11AM.

Prof. McClelland is an Infectious Disease specialist. His research focuses on women's reproductive health, STIs, and HIV in Kenya. Prof. McClelland is co-PI of the University of Washington Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Unit and site PI for the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine trial and a frequent collaborator with the University of Nairobi where he is a visiting Professor with the Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology.
