8th Annual AC3 Conference

The African Caribbean Cancer Consortium (AC3), a research collaborator of the University of Nairobi, will be having their 8th Annual Conference from the 11th - 14th of October 2023 at the Pride Inn Paradise Hotel in Shanzu, Mombasa, Kenya. This year's theme is Community to molecular approaches in early screening and diagnosis to promote equitable outcomes through the continuum of care in cancer among populations of African Ancestry"
AC3 was formed in May 2006 by Prof. Camille Ragin, Ph.D, MPH. Since it's inception, the consortium, through it's global network have collectively contributed to addressing cancer and health disparities by furthering the study of vital, genetic, environmental, and lifestyle risk factors for cancer in patient population of African descent that have demonstrated far reaching implications for the improvement of cancer aetiology, detection, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention in Black populations worldwide including here in Kenya where studies are currently ongoing at the University of Nairobi jointly with the Department of Surgery and the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology.
