The Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology and KAVI-Institute of Clinical Research are excited to host a PhD Thesis Defense Presentation by Kenneth Omollo on The Impact of Hormonal Contraception on Peripheral and Mucosal Immunity: implications for HIV susceptibility in Women.
Kenneth Omollo is a Research Coordinator at the Partners For Health and Development in Africa - a collaborative research program of the Universities of Nairobi and Manitoba. He is also a PhD Student at the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology, and in Prof. Keith Fowke's Laboratory of Viral Immunology. His work is focused on understanding the biological factors that modulate inflammation and immune activation of HIV target cells.
