On 23 September 2026, Prof. Marianne Mureithi and Dr. Moses Masika of the Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology, along with the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Daniel Ojuka, University of Nairobi, joined the University of Nairobi Medical Research Club for a session of student research presentations, reflecting the Department’s commitment to nurturing a strong culture of scientific enquiry and research among students.

🫁 The Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Nairobi, is proud to participate in the inaugural JIRANI Symposium on Tuberculosis 2026 – “Shared Burden, Shared Response.”

Held in collaboration with Ifakara Health Institute (Tanzania), Makerere University (Uganda), this regional scientific forum brings together researchers, clinicians, National TB Programme leaders, policymakers, and students from across East Africa and the global TB community to advance the fight against tuberculosis.
