Annual Mombasa HIV Research Collaborative Meeting

Prof. Walter Jaoko and Dr. Marianne Mureithi attended the HIV research conference on the 13th and 14th of October and is held annually in Mombasa. The discussions and presentations focused on the ongoing collaborative work on the HIV/STD Research Site, which is a joint effort between the University of Nairobi, Kenyatta National Hospital, the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), the Kenya Ministry of Health (MoH), Mombasa County, Coast General Hospital (CGH), the University of Washington (UW), the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC), and the US President's Emergency Program for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

The meeting reviewed HIV and STD prevention, treatment, and pathogenesis research findings.
