University of Nairobi
Members of the Department Prof. Walter Jaoko and Prof. Omu Anzala were both recently featured on the Alper Doger (AD) Scientific Index 2022 ranking.
The University of Nairobi had a total of 18 scientists across various disciplines in the top 50 rankings with both department members on the list.
Prof. Jaoko, who is also the Director of KAVI-Institute of Clinical Research was ranked 4th overall in the country and 2nd in the University. He was also ranked as the 2nd Best Scientist in the country for Medical & Health Sciences and 1st in the country for Infectious Diseases.
Prof. Anzala was ranked 33rd overall in the country and 16th in the University. He also ranked 1st as the Best Virologist in both the University and the Country.
