Join us for a Special Webinar on SPEAR: A sensitive, small volume, wash-free immuno-assay by Dr. Joshua Spitzberg, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Wyss Institute and Havard Medical School.
SPEAR is A DNA nanotechnology-powered method that detects proteins in small samples with ultra-sensitivity has the potential to enhance disease research, patient care, and drug development. This webinar is a unique opportunity for post-graduate students, lab technicians, researchers, post-docs and Principal Investigators to learn about this new technology and how it can be implemented in ongoing research here in Kenya.
Dr Joshua Spitzberg is a postdoctoral fellow at the Wyss Institute and Harvard Medical School. His research interest is translating molecular methods and next-generation platforms to address clinical needs. He was previously a research fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital where he developed molecular imaging platforms for cancer diagnostics. He received a PhD from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in biomedical engineering for developing single-molecule sensing devices using solid state nanopores. And he originally trained as a physicist before entering the life sciences. In his free time he climbs mountains, produces music, and surfs.
