Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases

The University of Nairobi, in collaboration with the University of Manitoba, is proud to announce a fully funded prestigious PhD scholarship in Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. This unique opportunity is part of an ongoing effort to foster research excellence and international collaboration in critical health sciences.

The scholarship is open to graduates from the University of Nairobi with a Master's degree in relevant fields. It focuses on several key research areas: Biomedical Medical Microbiology, Immunology, emerging and re-emerging infections, and infectious diseases. 

Applications are encouraged especially from women candidates, underlining the commitment to gender equality in academia and research. The deadline for applications is set for January 31st, 2024.

Prospective applicants must submit a well-developed research proposal, letters of recommendation, evidence of English proficiency, and a personal statement (approximately 500 words) outlining their research interests and career goals.
