Professor Omu Anzala Appointed to Ministry of Health Taskforce

Member of the Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology Professor Omu Anzala was recently appointed by the Ministry of Health (MoH) Kenya as a member of the Taskforce looking to combat Viral (VH) Hepatitis of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). 

Cases of VH and STIs are on the upward trajectory leading to significant morbidity and mortality within the country. Prof. Anzala will use his decades of experience in clinical research to help the taskforce explore all measures to circumvent these health challenges in order to reduce the healthcare burden caused by the various infectious diseases
