Mr. Joseph Gichuru has over 15 years of experience as a medical laboratory officer both in medical diagnostic laboratories and Public Health Research Laboratories. He is currently working as a senior laboratory analyst at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) managing a lab that supports HIV and HPV clinical trial projects across all the phases of clinical trials. He is also a Junior Research Fellow at KAVI-ICR under the DFG Study.
Joseph graduated from Kenyatta University with a master's degree in medical laboratory sciences (MLS) specializing in clinical chemistry. He is an accomplished laboratory system strengthening mentor where he prepares laboratories towards ISO 15189 accreditation and compliance to regulatory bodies. His areas of interest are laboratory systems strengthening, HIV pathogenesis and GUT immunology.
