Join us for a special seminar on The Impact of Sex Hormones on the Immune Response and Susceptibility to HIV by Prof. Julie Lajoie of the University of Manitoba
 

Prof. Lajoie is based at the University of Manitoba. She is currently an Assistant Professor and holds the Francis A. Plummer Professorship in Global Infectious Diseases. Her research program aims to understand the impact of sex hormones on the immune system in females. Her research theme is unique and has great potential to improve women’s health worldwide. She holds a visiting lecturer position at the University of Nairobi. She has over 40 peer-reviewed publications. 

Prof. Lajoie is also committed to fighting misinformation in social media and traditional media. She has over 250 knowledge mobilization activities with the public and has a monthly health segment on the Radio-Canada Manitoba morning show.
