Dr. Marianne Mureithi, the Chair of the Department signed the 2022/2023 Performance Contract with the Dean. This marks a new chapter in the Department’s commitment to excellence and outlines the expectations for the Department’s performance in the 2022/2023 academic year. The contract includes specific goals for the development of the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology, including increasing student enrollment and graduation rates, improving faculty retention and performance, and expanding the department's research agenda. It also outlines the expectations of leadership and management of the department, including r commitment to open communication and collaboration with the faculty, staff, and students.
At the signing ceremony, Dr. Mureithi expressed her excitement about the opportunities that the Performance Contract presents for the Department and the University as a whole.
