The University of Nairobi, in partnership with the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) and Sapienza University of Rome, invites applications for the prestigious Italy-Africa Research Doctorates Initiative. This opportunity aims to promote a new leadership in scientific research across Africa and foster collaborative research between Italy and Africa, with a focus on advances in infectious diseases microbiology and public health sciences.
What We Offer:
- A fully-funded PhD position for African students at Sapienza University of Rome, starting at the end of 2024 for a duration of 36 months.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Master's degree in a relevant field (Obtained in the last 3 years)
- Strong academic record (transcripts)
- Prior research experience, publications and additional skills in medical research are advantageous.
- Two Letters of recommendation
- Personal statement outlining research interests and career goals
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
