Throughout the past month, the department has celebrated the successful PhD Vivas of multiple doctoral candidates. This includes:
1. Dr. Isaac Kisaka, whose research topic was Preclinical Care, Clinical Management, and Outcomes of Dog Bite Injuries in High Rabies Burden Districts of Wakiso and Kampala, Uganda.
2. Dr. Moses Masika: His research focus was Emerging and Re-Emerging Arboviral Infections in Two Kenyan Counties.
3. Dr. Isaac Ngere: His research interest was Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERSCOV) in camels and camel-exposed individuals in Northern Kenya.
4. Dr. Joyce Nyiro: Her study topic was Evaluation of Factors Affecting the Potential Efficacy of a Maternal Respiratory Syncytial Virus Vaccine Program in Kenya.
The Department wishes them well in their forthcoming graduation on December 16 and in their future endeavors.
