Dr. Anne Naipanoi Pulei, BSc (Anat), MBChB, MSc (Anat), MMed (Ob/Gyn), MPH (Global Health) is a lecturer at the Departments of Human Anatomy & Physiology, and Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Nairobi (UoN), Kenya. Dr. Pulei completed her medical training at the University of Nairobi. As a recipient of the competitive International AIDS Research and Training Program (IARTP), she graduated from the University of
Washington in 2020 with a Master of Public Health degree. She is now a student at the University of Nairobi doing her PhD, funded by a D-43 grant, integrating prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases and HIV care through research training in Kenya-INTEGRATE. Dr. Pulei’s research interests are the prevention of STIs and HIV among women and reducing maternal mortality and morbidity. She recently developed a risk score for predicting chlamydial infection among women planning conception.
