Professor Pier Piccaluga paid a courtesy visit to Chair of the Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology Dr. Marianne Mureithi.

Prof. Piccaluga is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the Department of Experimental, Diagnostic and Specialty Medicine, Bologna University School of Medicine—Institute of Hematology and Medical Oncology, and the Biobank of research at the IRCCS S. Orsola-Malpighi Hospital.

The Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology and KAVI-Institute of Clinical Research are co-hosting a Webinar by Professor Pier Paolo Piccaluga. He is currently Associate Professor of Pathology at the Department of Experimental, Diagnostic and Specialty Medicine, Bologna University School of Medicine—Institute of Hematology and Medical Oncology, and the Biobank of research at the IRCCS S. Orsola-Malpighi Hospital. He has been responsible for many years for the Molecular Pathology Laboratory.

Postgraduate scholar Regina Kandie recently attended and presented her ongoing Malaria work in the just concluded 2022 American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) Annual Meeting  October 30 - November 3, 2022, Seattle Convention Center, WA, USA

Her poster presentation was titled: Malaria diagnostic Capacity in Areas targeted for sub-National Elimination.
