Professor Pier Piccaluga paid a courtesy visit to Chair of the Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology Dr. Marianne Mureithi.
Prof. Piccaluga is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the Department of Experimental, Diagnostic and Specialty Medicine, Bologna University School of Medicine—Institute of Hematology and Medical Oncology, and the Biobank of research at the IRCCS S. Orsola-Malpighi Hospital.
Prof. Piccaluga has been hosting annual webinars on Vaccine Technology for the Department's Masters Students and is a frequent collaborator with Post Doctoral Fellow and Molecular Biology Course Coordinator Dr. Noel Onyango. He discussed with the Department Chair future research collaborations opportunities along with joint grant applications to tackle the microbiome and cancer
