The Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology led by Dr. Noel Onyango conducted Biorisk assessment in Department of Food Science and Technology labs. He was also joined by PhD Scholar Joseph Gichuru and Beatrice Jelimo. The Department of Food Science and Technology team was lead by the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Catherine Kunyanga.

Department Doctoral Student Featured on The Lancet

Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology Doctoral Student Dr. Athman Mwatondo's work was recently published in the prestigious journal The Lancet. Dr. Mwatondo is a Medical Epidemiologist working for the Ministry of Health in Kenya. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Nairobi and MSc in Applied Epidemiology from Jomo Kenyatta University.
