Department Members Recognised on Best Scientists in Kenya List

Members of the Department Prof. Walter Jaoko and Prof. Omu Anzala were both recently featured on the Alper Doger (AD) Scientific Index 2022 ranking.

The University of Nairobi had a total of 18 scientists across various disciplines in the top 50 rankings with both department members on the list.

Department Chair Dr. Marianne Mureithi was featured on the BBC World Service as part of The SheWord, a pan African programme exploring the life experiences of women in today's Africa. Dr. Mureithi discussed why it's harder for women to access funding for scientific research.
