ADVANCE ANNUAL PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS' MEETING

The Association of Medical Students University of Nairobi (AMSUN) held their 12th AMSUN Scientific Conference, on the 9th and 10th of June 2022. The theme of the conference is RESEARCH TODAY FOR A HEALTHIER TOMORROW. Dr Marianne Mureithi, Chair, Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology gave the opening keynote address titled “ Research in the Pandemic Era”, where the students were encouraged to be innovative and answer critical questions that can change the health outcomes of their communities.

Department Members Recognised as Best Scientists in Kenya List

Members of the Department Prof. Walter Jaoko,  Prof. Omu Anzala and Prof Julius Oyugi were both recently featured on the Alper Doger (AD) Scientific Index 2022 ranking.

The University of Nairobi had a total of 18 scientists across various disciplines in the top 50 rankings with both department members on the list.
