Dr. Anne Maina, Lecturer in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology recently attended the 22nd International Pathogenic Neisseria Conference (IPNC 2022) in Cape Town, South Africa from the 9th to 14th October 2022.
Dr. Maina presented her ongoing research titled 'Symptomatic approach to Neisseria gonorrhoeae management performs better in men than women: a cross-sectional study in Nairobi, Kenya.
Prof. Walter Jaoko and Dr. Marianne Mureithi attended the HIV research conference on the 13th and 14th of October and is held annually in Mombasa.
The Chair of the Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology and the Director of the KAVI-ICR hosted a round table discussion with Gilead Sciences, led by Christopher Whitfield, General Manager of Gilead Sciences, and Dr. Summer Sitima, General Manager of Gilead Sciences in Central and East Africa, to discuss the possibility of a partnership and collaboration.
